A client project for Éclat Labs, an upcoming makeup brand. The brief given was to completely re-brand, and create new content, including unique packaging and model photographs featuring the makeup. The client wanted the brand to feel sophisticated, alluring, and slightly adventurous.
The client came to me with several problems: their brand had good products but was very inconsistent from packaging to social media; their promotional material was poor quality; and their audience was too narrow, limiting the growth of the brand.
My goal, therefore, was to re-brand the client so that their packaging and online presence paralleled the high quality of their makeup. On top of this, I aimed to art direct the brand's content so that it is all visually cohesive and eye-catching, whilst showing the makeup's diverse possibilities for usage, on a wide range of people.
The final outcome consisted of: photographs that capture the makeup used in a variety of ways on a variety of models; contemporary packaging that matches the superior quality of the makeup; and a complete brand book including guidelines for typography, colour scheme, and content usage, in order to make sure the brand always appears as cohesive and professional as possible.
